& PRACTICES

WHAT MAKES DRY ICE BLASTING ECO-FRIENDLY?

Dry ice blasting uses particles of solid carbon dioxide propelled at high velocity to clean equipment, machinery, and structures. Unlike traditional abrasive methods that work like a pick and can damage surfaces, dry ice works more like a spatula, lifting contaminants away safely.

The dry ice accelerates at supersonic speeds and creates mini-explosions on impact. This harmless process creates a shock wave between the coating and the surface, popping off contaminants from the inside out. The dry ice then vaporizes into carbon dioxide gas and simply disappears.

  • Zero Secondary Waste

Dry ice particles vaporize on impact, lifting contaminants without leaving residue. No secondary waste means faster cleanup and no additional contaminated materials to dispose of. Your facility stays cleaner, safer, and compliant.

  • 100% Eco-Friendly SERVICE

Dry ice blasting uses no caustic chemicals or harsh solvents. The process is completely safe for employees and the environment. CO₂ particles simply vaporize into the air, leaving only the removed contaminant behind.

  • Reduced Downtime & Costs

Clean equipment in place without disassembly or extensive downtime. Dry ice blasting is faster than traditional methods, reducing labor costs and keeping your operation running. Get back to work sooner without sacrificing quality.

COMMON QUESTIONS

What happens to the contaminants?

When we blast contaminants off your equipment, the dry ice itself disappears. It sublimates, converting directly from the solid to the gas phase. The only thing left behind is the contaminant itself. For hazardous waste cleanups, this is a significant benefit. No additional contaminated material is created in the cleaning process. The contaminants we remove still need proper disposal. When applicable, we recycle or dispose of removed materials responsibly.

Is dry ice blasting safe for food environments?

Some of our services, such as dry ice blasting, are approved for use in food-grade facilities. The process uses no chemicals and leaves no residue, making it ideal for cleaning equipment in food and beverage processing environments.

Is power washing eco-friendly?

While dry ice blasting is our signature eco-friendly service, we also offer industrial pressure washing for projects where it's the right fit. We'll help you choose the best method for your specific cleaning needs.
